Nighttime Wonders - Animals After Dark (Grades 3-6)

Friday, January 23

6:30 - 8:30 pm

$45 per student

Limited to 12 students.

In this one-of-a-kind drop-off program for students in grades 3-6, our educators will lead an exciting night hike to discover the animals that come alive after sunset.  We'll listen to chatty owls, search for tracks in mud and snow, and learn about the wonders of nocturnal wildlife.  After our adventure, we'll meet a few of Woodcock's resident animals before heading home!

Chicken Nugget- Painted Turtle

Wintertime with Woodcock Turtles (Grades K-2)

Saturday, January 31

10 am - 12 pm

$45 per student

Limited to 12 students.

Where do all the turtles go in the winter? In this drop off program for students in 3rd - 6th grade we will answer that question and more. We will get to meet and learn about some of the beloved resident turtles of Woodcock and make a snuggled up turtle craft at this awesome program!

Create Your Own Terrarium (Grades 3-6)

Saturday, February 28

10 am - 12 pm

$45 per student

Limited to 12 students.

Create your own living terrariums!  Your terrarium will be a closed system inside a glass mason jar!  They will be modeled after our native forest floors and will be cool living decorations that will remind you of nature and change over time!  Your terrarium shouldn't need any watering or maintenance once it is created either - everything that it needs will be contained in the jar and recycled.

Animal Tracks Treasure Hunt (Grades K-2)

Saturday, March 7

10 am - 12 pm

$45 per student

Limited to 12 students.

 

Get outside for a morning of treasure hunting! In this drop off program we will track down a treasure hidden among our trails. While doing so we will solve tricky riddles and learn about the tracks that different animals leave behind as they walk through Connecticut forests.
