Connecticut Trails Day Hike 2025!
Saturday, June 7 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Join us for a free guided hike in honor of CT Trails Day - a two-day national event on the first weekend in June every year. Educator Kevin Andros will lead hikers of all ages and abilities through the varied and picturesque terrain of Woodcock Nature Center in honor of this special day. We'll enjoy the flora and fauna and answer questions along the trail as they arise. Dress for the weather as the event will be held rain or shine.
This event is in partnership with the CT Forest & Park Association.
Registration is free but required. This event is for adults and families. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Moths at McKeon Farm!
Saturday, June 7 from 8:30 - 10:30 pm
Come uncover the wonderful world of moths! Many species of these primarily nocturnal insects are seldom seen and underappreciated for their strikingly beautiful patterns and interesting range of adaptations. We will set up a light sheet to attract moths and other insects, and we will learn together about what we end up seeing and identifying! There are over 1,000 species of moth that live in New England, and we are always excited to discover more of them!
This program is in partnership with the Ridgefield Conservation Commission.
Registration is free but required. This event is for adults and families.
