Wreath Festival Fundraiser 2022
Frequently Asked Questions
*Please read all of the following closely if you are a ticket holder or are considering purchasing tickets. Due to the amount of planning and effort that goes into this event, all tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable or exchangeable.*
We cannot accept walk-ins to any portion of the event. An advance ticket is required. Attendees must be 21 and over with the exception of Family Day.
How do I purchase tickets as a group?
This year we will be accepting group ticket reservations for up to 12-15 in our pavilion space for daytime and evening sessions. To make a request please designate one group leader to complete our request form and choose your group's top three Wreath Festival dates. Requests will be fulfilled in the order they are received. We will do our best to accommodate selections. If no space is available you will have an option to be placed on a wait list or you may choose to purchase single tickets or to-go kits when they go on sale on Sunday, October 23 at 6pm. Request forms will be accepted beginning on Sunday, October 9 at 6 pm and through Thursday, October 13. Date assignments will be communicated on Friday, October 21 to your designated group leader. Commitments to your Wreath Festival date and payment in one full amount must be made by the end of the day on Thursday, October 27; no exceptions. No refunds or exchanges will be possible after this date. Your group leader will be your designated point-person for coordinating with Woodcock staff about the event so please choose wisely! Groups can be no more than 15 people. Names and contact information for every attendee will be required before your event.
How does the timing work for each event?
Wreath Festival tickets correspond to a specific time and date. All tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable or exchangeable. To help us manage crowd size and distancing, you must arrive/depart at your scheduled start/end time. There are 12-15 guests permitted in the pavilion space and 15 in the pond side tent. Two hours is available for decorating and celebrating. On Family Day, 60 minutes of decorating-only will take place in the pavilion and pond side spaces (you will choose a time slot and be assigned a location); outdoor fun and activities will take place only if the weather permits. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
I plan to stay home this year. How do the To-Go kits work?
As an alternative to an in-person Wreath Festival experience, we are pleased to offer a take-home, do-it-yourself design kit. We’ll provide a 24” Balsam wreath to-go as well as a festive selection of decorating materials. You will choose from three pre-packaged holiday design themes that can be picked up on a predetermined date/time. Kits must be ordered in advance. More info here.
Can my family decorate more than one wreath on Family Day?
Family Day attendees must purchase one wreath in advance and, for distancing purposes, indicate if there are 1-2 or up to 4 family members planning to attend during your chosen time slot. At the time of your ticket purchase you will be able to purchase an additional wreath as an add-on, if desired. We will utilize your family size indicated at the time of advance purchase to plan for group distancing so we ask that this number not change or that you email us in advance with any adjustments to your family size so that we may accommodate as many families as possible in our limited space.
I’ve got my tickets. How should I dress?
Dress for the cold, be comfortable and get festive! We also recommend you wear appropriate footwear for walking our dirt driveway and wood chipped (and potentially muddy!) paths. You will be fully outdoors at times, walking between your car and our spaces.
If I change my mind about my ticket purchase, can I get a refund?
We strongly encourage you to review the event description closely and coordinate your tickets with friends in advance. Because of the amount of planning and effort that goes into this event, all tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable or exchangeable. You must arrive at your scheduled start time and leave at your scheduled end time.
I can no longer make it. Can I switch my ticket to a different date/time or give my ticket to a friend?
Because of the amount of planning that goes into this event, tickets are not refundable nor can they be exchanged to an alternate date/time or the value applied to other programs. You may transfer your tickets to a friend however, please email us the name of the new attendee as we must keep an accurate record of attendees for health and safety reasons.
What about winter weather or pandemic-related cancellations?
If a winter storm prohibits us from running an event, we will send an email to attendees as well as put a message on our website, social media, and outgoing voicemail. If possible, we will reschedule canceled events for one of our weather contingency days. If changes are made to current health and safety guidelines that make an in-person event impossible, we will reach out to ticket holders with several options including alternative ways to celebrate such as our Wreath Festival To-Go kits.
It’s time for Wreath Festival! Where should I park?
Park along the sides of our driveway. We have a long and narrow dirt driveway. Depending on what time you arrive, you may have to park a short distance away and walk-up. Though our driveway is lighted in some areas, we suggest evening attendees bring a flashlight to ensure your safe passage. You can help make parking an easy experience for everyone in the following ways…do not park head in; parallel park only and pull as far over as possible; close the gap between the car in front of/behind you whenever possible; always leave room for traffic to flow; do not attempt to turn around in the middle of the driveway. There is a turnaround at the top of the driveway. If necessary, proceed to the top and follow the turnaround. If you are getting out of your vehicle on the wooded side, watch your step. Some areas have a slight drop off.
I have successfully parked. Where do I go to check-in?
Guest check-in will be located at our hillside wreath tent located alongside the driveway. Woodcock staff will be there to greet you upon arrival and provide directions from there.
Will the restroom be accessible?
Yes, the restrooms in our Nature Center will be available for use during the event.
What should I bring?
With the exception of Family Day, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. We will have space available for eating and drinking during your 2-hour experience. Remember bottle openers, cups, paper goods, utensils and a trash bag (we do not provide any of these items). In the pond side tent you will be sharing space with other groups. Please consider this when making your food choices (allergens, odors, etc.). Bring only what you can carry conveniently and please consider the environment when planning your celebration.
What should I leave at home?
We do not allow the following: aerosol cans (no spray-able décor or fragrances), open flames (no candles, sterno, etc), music (we provide our own festive soundtrack; please don’t play personal music in the decorating rooms).
What should I do with my trash?
We have limited trash disposal resources. Please bring a trash bag to collect your group’s trash and plan to discard of it at home. We will be collecting empty bottles, etc. for recycling.
Why do you ask us to re-sort our unused decorating materials?
Someone might be looking for the same materials you have left over in your bin. Help make those items available to others by re-sorting them in the materials baskets when you’re done. Re-sorting also helps our hardworking staff reset for the next session. Thank you!
I’m clueless about how to decorate my wreath. Do you have any ideas?
Yes! We'll have many inspirational photos displayed around the space. Take a look for some great ideas.
Will upgrades to a larger wreath size be available this year?
We are not able to accommodate wreath upgrades this year. All wreaths will be 24” balsam.
Please do not attend Wreath Festival if…
