Spring Yoga

Saturday, June 25 and July 23 from 8:45 - 10 am

 

Align body, mind and spirit among the forests of Woodcock Nature Center with Jessica Outlaw, Registered Yoga Teacher. This hatha yoga practice for adults of all levels and abilities will be sure to fully awaken your senses and connect you more deeply to yourself and the natural world with asanas (postures), proper breathing and deep relaxation.

$25 per attendee. 

Limit of 15 attendees per class. Registration is required.

50th Birthday Bash!

Saturday, July 9 at 11 am or 2 pm

 

Join us for a celebration for the whole family of all things Woodcock! Learn about our history as a nature center, meet our animals, enjoy our playground, set out on a scavenger hunt and so much more. Plus food and drink and of course... a birthday treat.

$25 per person (ages 3+). Registration required. Space is limited.

Beer lovers will delight in the launch of a new brew at Ridgefield’s Nod Hill Brewery in honor Woodcock’s 50th Anniversary year. Tickets to the Kick-Off Party include a glass of the new brew, a Nod Hill meadow tour, reserved seating in the brewery’s new biergarten and a 4-pack to enjoy at home. More details coming soon.

iNaturalist Training Webinar Recording Available

Watch the recording here. 

This virtual training was offered in partnership with Pace University, the Ridgefield Conservation Commission, and Woodcock Nature Center and focuses on how to use the iNaturalist app to identify local flora and fauna. Geared towards adults that are new to iNaturalist or need a refresher, this webinar recording shows viewers how to upload observations and join projects, along with troubleshooting tips and how to view the identifications generated by iNaturalist. Led by Mike Rubbo, Clinical Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Science at Pace University, and Sarah Breznen, Education Director at Woodcock Nature Center.
